Lance is an executive leader with 18 years of senior leadership experience across mission-driven and global organizations. He partners with CEOs, boards, funders, and philanthropists on strategy, organizational transformation, and execution — often stepping into interim or fractional executive roles when critical leadership capacity is needed. He is particularly skilled at translating an ambitious vision into the organizational structure, talent, systems, and execution required to make it real.
Growing up in a working-class, rural household as the youngest of four, Lance saw firsthand the inequities in access to education and opportunity. As a first-generation college graduate, those experiences shaped a career rooted in expanding opportunity. He began in public policy before joining Teach For America, where he served as an educator, recruiter, founding executive director, and in multiple vice president roles spanning talent acquisition and external affairs.
He later led talent acquisition and global talent intelligence work at Amazon before launching TalentWorks Consulting. Today, Lance leads cross-functional teams and serves in executive and C-suite capacities with mission-driven organizations, helping leaders move from strategy to implementation across organizational design, talent, data and analytics, and complex capability-building efforts.
