Smart strategy. Strong teams. Better decisions.

Flexible consulting to help mission-driven organizations move work forward—with embedded experts in strategy, talent, and data.

We embed with your team to move real work forward—helping you solve complex challenges with the clarity, tools, and talent to make lasting progress. Whether you’re building strategy, hiring a team, or untangling your data, our approach stays grounded in what works:

  • Collaborative, not prescriptive – We bring structure and expertise, but build alongside your team.

  • Flexible and right-sized – Most of our engagements are fractional (20–100+ hours/month), designed to fit your capacity and timeline.

  • Strategy meets execution – We don’t just diagnose—we design, implement, and support the change you’re driving.

  • Clear, actionable deliverables – No buzzwords or bloated decks. Just tools, systems, and insights your team will actually use.

Our consultants are operators, analysts, and strategists with real-world experience in the same challenges you’re navigating now. We know what great looks like—and how to get there together.

"A Single strategic, fractionally sourced expert can often kickstart lasting business growth by objectively identifying the true bottlenecks at hand and leveraging their own experience  to help your team overcome those barriers — and they don't have to be inside your physical office full-time to do so effectively."

Lance is an executive leader with 17+ years of experience building and scaling nonprofit and corporate teams, managing complex partnerships, and leading large-scale talent and organizational change efforts. His superpower is painting a vision of the future—and bringing it to life.

Growing up in a working-class, rural household as the youngest of four, Lance saw firsthand the inequities in access to education and opportunity. As a first-generation college graduate, these early experiences fueled a career rooted in purpose, beginning with policy work as a lobbyist and later joining Teach For America. There, he served as an educator, recruiter, executive director, and in multiple VP roles across talent acquisition and external affairs.

He went on to drive talent acquisition and global talent intelligence strategies at Amazon, before founding TalentWorks Consulting—where he now assembles cross-functional teams to help mission-driven organizations build the clarity, systems, and capacity needed to scale their impact.

“Years of watching overstretched leaders in social impact and startup organizations inspired me to launch TalentWorks. These sectors are full of passionate people—but limited capacity and early-stage systems can accelerate burnout and push great talent out the door. I’m committed to helping this generation of leaders achieve sustained success.”
